Job summary

Sort F&B Development Consultancy in Muscat is seeking a dedicated bakery and pastry assistant to support daily preparation and the service flow.

You will prepare breads, croissants, Danish, cakes, desserts, and other pastry items, following standard recipes and portion sizes. Maintain hygiene, assist with baking and finishing, and uphold food safety and FIFO practices in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery or pastry experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of bakery and pastry techniques.
• Good hygiene and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily bakery and pastry preparation.
• Prepare breads, croissants, Danish, cakes, desserts, and other pastry items.
• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
• Assist with baking, proofing, shaping, decorating, and finishing.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bakery and pastry section.
• Follow food safety, HACCP, and FIFO procedures.
• Maintain proper storage and minimize food wastage.
• Support the team during daily production and service.
