Job summary

Pinnacle Global employment Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced HVAC Supervisor/Engineer in Muscat to lead the operation and maintenance of central chillers and related systems in hospital and healthcare environments.

The role requires 7+ years in HVAC with 2+ years in supervision. Candidates should have strong knowledge of chillers, AHUs, ductwork and refrigeration, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years post-diploma HVAC operations & maintenance.
• At least 2 years in supervisory/management roles.
• Experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, facility management or 4/5-star hotels preferred.
• Strong knowledge of central HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operation, maintenance and performance of central chiller plants and HVAC systems.
• Monitor maintenance of AHUs, ductwork, package units and split ACs.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of cold rooms and mortuary refrigeration systems.
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all HVAC equipment.
• Supervise technical teams, assign tasks, monitor progress and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure proper refrigerant handling, recovery, recycling and disposal per environmental/safety regs.
• Monitor HVAC performance, energy efficiency and reliability.
• Identify issues, coordinate troubleshooting and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with HVAC safety standards and procedures.
• Maintain equipment records, maintenance reports and logs.
• Coordinate with facility management, contractors, vendors and other engineering departments.
• Ensure uninterrupted HVAC services in critical hospital areas like ORs and ICUs.

Position: HVAC Supervisor / HVAC Engineer

Educational Qualification

• Minimum SSC (10th Pass).

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), or a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of relevant post-diploma experience in HVAC operations and maintenance.

• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.

• Experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, facility management organizations, or 4/5-star hotels is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the operation, maintenance, and performance of central chiller plants and associated HVAC systems.

• Monitor and manage the maintenance of Air Handling Units (AHUs), ductwork, package units, and split air-conditioning systems.

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of cold rooms and mortuary refrigeration systems.

• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all HVAC equipment.

• Supervise technical teams, assign daily tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.

• Ensure proper refrigerant handling, recovery, recycling, and disposal in accordance with applicable environmental and safety regulations.

• Monitor HVAC system performance, energy efficiency, and equipment reliability.

• Identify technical issues, coordinate troubleshooting, and implement corrective measures to minimize equipment downtime.

• Ensure compliance with HVAC safety standards, statutory requirements, and operational procedures.

• Maintain equipment records, maintenance reports, breakdown logs, and performance documentation.

• Coordinate with facility management, contractors, vendors, and other engineering departments.

• Ensure uninterrupted HVAC services, particularly in critical hospital areas such as operation theatres, ICUs, laboratories, and other clinical departments.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of central HVAC and refrigeration systems.

• Hands-on experience with chillers, AHUs, ductwork, package units, split ACs, and refrigeration systems.

• Knowledge of refrigerant recovery, recycling, and safe handling practices.

• Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.

• Knowledge of HVAC safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements.

• Strong team management, leadership, and coordination skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and manage maintenance operations efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Hospital or healthcare facility HVAC management experience.

• Facility management experience in large commercial establishments.

• Experience in 4-star or 5-star hotel engineering operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; vocational training or associate's degree in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
• Possession of relevant HVAC certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608 Universal) is highly desirable.
• At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role within the HVAC industry.
