Who we're looking for
You'll be a strategic thinker with proven governance experience, commercial acumen, and the integrity to serve with a public-good ethos. We are particularly interested in Directors who can demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Strong networks within Central Government and key agencies
- Financial and investment expertise
- Experience in raising capital and attracting inward investment
- Insight into national and international economic opportunities
- Knowledge across CEDA's priority areas: land use diversification, tourism growth, infrastructure (transport & logistics)
A solid understanding of business and financial matters, experience in economic development, and confidence in Te Ao Māori will set you apart. While Manawatū roots are valued, we welcome Directors who bring outside perspectives and connections. The Board meets monthly with additional time commitment required such as out of schedule meetings, key partner meetings, and attending events as required.
