We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and fully registered teacher to support our English language learners in 2026.

About the role

The successful applicant will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging ELL programmes that accelerate language learning.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to build language-rich learning environments.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
  • Provide targeted support and scaffolding to meet varied learning needs.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including cultural and community events.
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.

About you

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has experience teaching English language learners in a New Zealand primary setting
  • Knowledge of TESSOL desirable
  • Understands effective language acquisition and literacy strategies.
  • Is inclusive, culturally responsive, and values diversity.
  • Builds strong relationships with students, whānau, and colleagues.

This role is not suitable for overseas teachers with no New Zealand primary teaching experience.
