Waitoki is a small rural school 10 minutes drive from Silverdale. Our vision is to be an inclusive school community that nurtures adaptive, creative, curious, life-long learners who achieve their best through perseverance and collaboration. We recognise that our students are all individuals who bring their own experiences and talents to our learning community. We hold a strong set of school GOAT values of Grit, Ownership, Aroha, and Teamwork, which are infused through everything we do.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, inspirational Kaiako to join our team of passionate and dedicated educators. Applicants need to have a good knowledge of teaching the New Zealand Curriculum, and experience teaching structured literacy as well as the refreshed maths curriculum. Candidates need to be able to work collaboratively, be willing to get fully involved in the life of our school and connect with our supportive community. As we are a small rural school, all of our staff members wear multiple hats, so most of all you will need to be flexible, adaptable, have a good sense of humour and be prepared to muck in.

If this sounds like you then we would love to hear from you. As our 2026 class organisation has not yet been finalised, please express your year level preferences from Y0-8 in your cover letter.
