Job summary

Playcentre Aotearoa is seeking a Centre Coordinator to work 4 hours per week in collaboration with centre whānau and support staff. The role focuses on building adult capability and confidence and ensuring sessions reflect Playcentre Philosophy.

As the Person Responsible, you will provide high-quality pedagogical guidance and ensure curriculum, health and safety, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments are upheld within sessions.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with early childhood background or equivalent, and current registration or eligibility.
• Experience facilitating adult education and empowering whānau in Playcentre environments.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with centre whānau and support staff to deliver high-quality, whānau-led sessions.
• Model and support delivery of engaging, child-led curriculum experiences.
• Provide guidance on curriculum, adult education, and health and safety to support sessions.
