Job summary

Playcentre Aotearoa is seeking a Centre Coordinator for a part-time role (7.5 hours/week) during term time. The role focuses on building adult capability and confidence, enabling whānau to lead sessions with high-quality guidance in line with Playcentre philosophy, enriching children's learning.

You will work with centre whānau to support curriculum, health and safety, and regulatory requirements. The role requires passion for the Playcentre approach, a Diploma Course 3 or equivalent, First Aid

Qualifications

• Passion for Playcentre philosophy and empowering whānau.
• Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE qual.
• Confidence using technology to support learning & administration.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations; Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitment.
• Hold and maintain First Aid certification.
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa.

Responsibilities

• Develop whānau to be the first and best educators for tamariki with rich child-led curriculum.
• Role-model and support delivery of high-quality, whānau-led sessions.
• Provide guidance on curriculum, adult education and health and safety.
• Ensure sessions meet regulatory and health & safety obligations.
• Recognise Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and promote Māori values.
