Playcentre Aotearoa is seeking a Centre Coordinator for a 5-hour-per-week, term-time role starting 23 November 2026. Working with centre whānau and support staff, you will focus on building adult capability and confidence to enable leadership in sessions and centre responsibilities, fostering a whānau-led environment.

You will provide high-quality pedagogical guidance and ensure sessions reflect Playcentre Philosophy and enrich children’s learning, while supporting curriculum, health and safety

Formación

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with whānau.
• Provide guidance and solutions with a centre-focused approach.
• Confident with technology to support learning and administration.
• Knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• First Aid certification.
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa.

Responsabilidades

• Developing whānau to be the first educators for their tamariki through rich, child-led curriculum experiences.
• Role-modelling and supporting high-quality, whānau-led sessions.
• Providing advice and support to centre whānau on curriculum, adult education and health and safety to support session delivery.
• Ensuring sessions meet regulatory and legislative requirements including Health and Safety obligations.
• Recognising and promoting Māori cultural values in line with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
