Job summary

Jora New Zealand in Christchurch (Hornby) is seeking experienced Welders for a busy manufacturing team. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on production and bespoke fabrication projects, with a focus on accuracy, quality and safety. The role offers day or night shifts, Monday to Friday, and long-term opportunities for the right person.

Immediate start for candidates with proven welding skills and the right to work in New Zealand. Competitive hourly rates based on experience and skill level.

• Proven MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Previous New Zealand welding experience preferred.
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work.

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business specialising in the manufacture of engineered poles and structures. The role offers a mix of production welding and more bespoke fabrication work, providing the opportunity to use and develop your welding skills.

About the Role

You will primarily be responsible for MIG and TIG welding as part of the production process. While some aspects of the role can be repetitive, there will also be opportunities to work on bespoke and customised projects, where accuracy, quality, and strong welding skills are essential. You will be working as part of a supportive production team where safety, quality, and productivity are key.

Shift Options Day Shift: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Night Shift: 4:00pm – 2:00am
Monday to Friday
