Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on fabrication and welding experience.
• Trade-qualified fabricator/welder; experienced candidates considered.
• Able to read engineering drawings and perform basic calculations.
• Forklift experience and a Full NZ Driver Licence.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate handing brackets, augers and drilling equipment on a day-to-day basis.
• Order replacement supplies and manage your own workflow.

Our client is a respected supplier of heavy-duty equipment to the construction, civil and agricultural industries. Their South Auckland operation supports customers nationwide and is backed by a dedicated workshop team committed to high-quality fabrication, repairs and product support.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys working independently, takes pride in quality workmanship and wants a stable, long-term position within a supportive team environment.

This is a hands-on fabrication and welding role, where you will be fabricating handing brackets, augers and drilling equipment on a day-to-day basis. You will also be responsible for ordering replacement supplies and managing your own workflow, prioritising jobs and meeting deadlines to ensure customer needs are always met.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years’ hands on fabrication and welding experience


• Trade-qualified Fabricator/Welder. Highly experienced candidates with a strong fabrication/welding background will also be considered.


• Able to demonstrate MIG Welding experience


• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and complete basic engineering calculations.


• Forklift experience and a Full NZ Driver Licence


• Strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail


• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

What is on offer:

• Permanent position, 32 hours per week guaranteed, plus the potential for additional hours


• Workshop Hours of Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm. Following the initial training period there will be flexibility in start and finish times to suit individual needs.
