Job summary

If you're a highly skilled Welder Fabricator who enjoys precision welding and takes pride in producing quality workmanship, this is a great opportunity to join a well-established local engineering team in Rangiora. The business has a strong presence and works across a range of engineering, fabrication, maintenance and installation projects throughout Canterbury and beyond. The focus of this role will be TIG welding on light gauge materials, particularly stainless steel, so you'll need to be confident producing clean, precise welds to a high standard. You'll be working on a variety of projects rather than doing the same thing every day, with a good mix of fabrication and engineering work alongside an experienced team.

The role:

As a Welder Fabricator, you’ll be involved in precision fabrication and TIG welding across a range of dairy and engineering projects. Your day could involve fabricating components, TIG welding light gauge stainless steel, modifying existing equipment or carrying out repairs. This is a role where quality matters. You’ll need to be confident working with light gauge materials, producing clean and accurate welds and taking pride in the finished product.

What you’ll bring:

• Trade qualification in Welding and Fabrication or significant hands‑on welding and fabrication experience.
• Strong TIG welding ability, particularly on light gauge stainless steel.
• Experience working with stainless steel and other light gauge materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• High standard of workmanship with excellent attention to detail.
• A practical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

They’re also looking to bring entry level Dairy Technicians into the team, with these positions open to people with little to no previous experience. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone practical, reliable and keen to learn. Immediate starts are available.
