Job summary

Snap Rentals is seeking a Weekend Supervisor to keep the depot running smoothly at our Christchurch location and to support the Branch Manager in their absence.

You’ll oversee weekend operations, guide the team, and ensure Snap Rentals standards and customer service are consistently delivered, across CSR and grooming activities. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term role with hands‑on leadership and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading small teams in a service or retail environment.
• Strong customer service ethos and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance in a fast‑paced operation.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day‑to‑day branch operations in the Branch Manager’s absence, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to required timeframes.
• Deliver excellent customer service, support CSR decision‑making within company policies and procedures, and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Train and guide new CSRs, support the grooming team, and work with the Grooming Bay Supervisor to improve systems, productivity and overall performance.
• Ensure all vehicles meet required safety, cleanliness and grooming standards, with vehicle check sheets completed.
• Ensure health and safety, critical processes, compliance requirements, balance dues and additional fees are managed correctly.

About the role

The Weekend Supervisor keeps the depot running smoothly while supporting the Branch Manager in their absence. You’ll oversee day-to-day weekend operations, support and guide the team, and ensure our Snap Rentals standards, processes and customer service are consistently delivered.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, with time spent across both the CSR and grooming teams, jumping in where needed to keep the operation running efficiently.

This is expected to be a 12-month fixed‑term contract while our current Weekend Supervisor is on secondment, providing a great opportunity to step into a leadership role and make an impact.

What you will be doing

• Take overall responsibility for day‑to‑day branch operations in the Branch Manager’s absence, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to required timeframes.


• Deliver excellent customer service, support CSR decision‑making within company policies and procedures, and meet or exceed sales targets.


• Train and guide new CSRs, support the grooming team, and work with the Grooming Bay Supervisor to improve systems, productivity and overall performance.


• Ensure all vehicles meet required safety, cleanliness and grooming standards, with vehicle check sheets completed. Maintain a clean and tidy grooming bay and reception area, and drive the shuttle when required.


• Ensure health and safety, critical processes, compliance requirements, balance dues and additional fees are managed correctly. Escalate issues to the Branch Manager as needed and consistently advocate for Snap Rentals’ brand, culture and values.

What you can bring to the table

• Previous experience in the car rental industry is required, with RCM knowledge highly desirable.
