Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Wellington is seeking a Branch Supervisor at the Apex Car Rental Wellington Airport location to support the Branch Manager and lead daily operations.

You will deliver a high level of customer service, supervise the team, coordinate shifts, ensure vehicle grooming, and manage performance with coaching and training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous managerial and/or leadership experience with coaching and developing team members.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, problem solve and show initiative.
• Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Possesses competent planning and organisation skills and can multitask.
• Ability to competently use Microsoft Office suite and learn new systems and software quickly and efficiently.
• Current and Full NZ Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

Looking to gain experience and ready for that next step in your career? We have a permanent, full-time working 40-hours per week position available!

We are looking for a Branch Supervisor to assist the Branch Manager with supervision of all operational functions at our Apex Car Rental, Wellington Airport location.

About the Role

You will ensure our customers have a positive experience by providing a superior level of customer service processing rental transactions, and ensuring we have vehicles groomed and ready for service at our counters.

Further to the above you will coordinate the daily activities of the team and where needed, train, coach and direct the team in their duties. Noncompliance with established policies and procedures must be reported to management. You will also assist Manager with preparing shift schedules and reports.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Previous managerial and/or leadership experience with proven experience in coaching and developing team members, delivering feedback, and managing performance of team members (highly advantageous but not essential).
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, problem solve and show initiative.
• Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Possesses competent planning and organisation skills and can multitask.
• Ability to competently use Microsoft office suite and learn new systems and software quickly and efficiently.
• Current and Full NZ Drivers Licence.

As we operate 7 days a week, you will be rostered to work 40 hours per week during our operating hours that will include early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
