ASSA ABLOY Group in Auckland seeks a technically skilled field specialist to improve installation quality, reduce warranty issues and strengthen installer relationships. You will provide a mix of hands-on training and practical field support, helping customers achieve the best outcomes from our products.

Collaboration with Product Management, Technical teams, Sales and Service will be essential to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical, trade, hardware, construction, joinery or related environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in real-world installation or product environments.
• Confidence delivering training, demonstrations, toolbox talks or technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• On-site warranty assessments and replacement activities across the Auckland region.
• Investigate product performance concerns to determine installation, environmental or product-related causes.
• Deliver practical training sessions, demonstrations and technical guidance to installers.
• Provide expert support to customers and internal teams on installation techniques, adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Identify trends in warranty claims and escalate recurring issues to support corrective action.
• Contribute to product development and improvement initiatives by reporting practical field insights.
• Support the creation and enhancement of installation guides, training materials and technical resources.
• Maintain accurate training, warranty and field service records to support reporting and continuous improvement.

About The Role

This role exists to improve installation quality, reduce warranty-related issues and strengthen relationships with installers across the Auckland region. You'll provide a combination of technical field support and hands‑on training, helping customers and installers achieve the best outcomes from our products.

Working closely with Product Management, Technical teams, Sales, Customer Service and Product Development, you'll use your field experience and problem-solving skills to identify root causes, provide practical solutions and share valuable feedback that supports continuous improvement.

Success in this role comes from building credibility with installers, resolving technical issues efficiently and helping elevate installation standards across the market.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Confidence delivering training, demonstrations, toolbox talks or technical guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Experience building relationships with customers, installers, tradespeople or technical stakeholders.
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills with attention to detail.
• A proactive approach and commitment to quality, safety and customer service.
