Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Auckland seeks a technically skilled field specialist to improve installation quality, reduce warranty issues and strengthen installer relationships. You will provide a mix of hands-on training and practical field support, helping customers achieve the best outcomes from our products.

Collaboration with Product Management, Technical teams, Sales and Service will be essential to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical, trade, hardware, construction, joinery or related environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in real-world installation or product environments.
• Confidence delivering training, demonstrations, toolbox talks or technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• On-site warranty assessments and replacement activities across the Auckland region.
• Investigate product performance concerns to determine installation, environmental or product-related causes.
• Deliver practical training sessions, demonstrations and technical guidance to installers.
• Provide expert support to customers and internal teams on installation techniques, adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Identify trends in warranty claims and escalate recurring issues to support corrective action.
• Contribute to product development and improvement initiatives by reporting practical field insights.
• Support the creation and enhancement of installation guides, training materials and technical resources.
• Maintain accurate training, warranty and field service records to support reporting and continuous improvement.
