Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems (Pedestrian) in Auckland is seeking a hands-on Service Technician to deliver installation, repair, and maintenance across the AAES Doors product range.

You will liaise with customers and service coordinators, complete quality documentation, and work flexibly including callouts and out-of-hours work. The role values safety and ongoing training in a global leader of access solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in building or carpentry is desirable.
• Experience in service and/or installation roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Wellington area is advantageous.
• Qualified/licensed electrician or fitter and turner is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands‑on and customer‑focused Service Technician to deliver a range of service and maintenance activities, including installation, repair, emergency breakdown response, and other maintenance services across the Company’s product range. The position is based in Auckland.

What You’ll Do

• Install, repair, and maintain the AAES Doors product range.
• Liaise with customers and Service Coordinators regarding repairs, installations, and site issues.
• Complete paperwork and documentation in line with quality and timeliness standards.
• Maintain work tools, PPE, and comply with WHS and company policies at all times.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in building, carpentry, or related trades is desirable.
• Preferably experienced in service and/or installation roles.
• Knowledge of the Wellington area is advantageous.
• Qualified/licensed electrician or fitter and turner; controls experience is a plus.
• EWP (Scissor Lift) and Forklift licenses preferred.
• Must hold and maintain a current driver’s licence and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
