ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions in Auckland seeks a hands-on Field Support Technician to improve installation quality, support installers, and strengthen customer relationships across the region. You’ll combine technical field support with practical training to help customers get the best outcomes from our products.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical, trade, hardware, construction, joinery or related environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in real-world installation or product environments.
• Experience investigating and diagnosing technical or installation-related issues.
• Confidence delivering training, demonstrations, toolbox talks or technical guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience building relationships with customers, installers, tradespeople or technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site warranty assessments and replacement activities across the Auckland region.
• Investigate product performance concerns to determine installation, environmental or product-related causes.
• Deliver practical training sessions, demonstrations and technical guidance to installers.
• Provide expert support to customers and internal teams on installation techniques, adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Identify trends in warranty claims and escalate recurring issues to support corrective action.
• Contribute to product development and improvement initiatives by reporting practical field insights.
• Support creation and enhancement of installation guides, training materials and technical resources.
• Maintain accurate training, warranty and field service records for reporting and continuous improvement.
