Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking an experienced Resort Manager for our Wanaka property to lead operations and build a high-performing team that delivers exceptional guest experiences.

You will oversee front office, housekeeping, maintenance and guest services, drive guest satisfaction, manage budgets and KPIs, and collaborate with regional teams to implement strategic initiatives. A hands-on, people-first leadership style and strong stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in hotel or resort operations.
• Experience managing budgets and reporting on financial performance.
• Strong people-management and stakeholder-relations skills.
• Hands-on, guest-centric leadership style with practical execution.

Responsibilities

• Leading daily resort operations across front office, housekeeping, maintenance and guest services
• Driving guest satisfaction and delivering consistently exceptional owner and guest experiences
• Managing budgets, financial performance and operational KPIs
• Building, leading and developing an engaged, high-performing team
• Partnering with regional and corporate teams to implement business initiatives and improvements
• Maintaining strong relationships with owners, local partners and key stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and New Zealand regulatory requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and overall resort performance
