Job summary

Summerset Milldale Village is seeking a Village Assistant to help keep residents safe and supported. You will respond to medical or emergency incidents, be the first point of contact on duty, and maintain a visible reassuring presence.

Responsibilities include first response to medical emergencies, cleaning facilities, liaising with emergency services, monitoring security, and keeping in touch with the Village Manager.

Qualifications

• Calm, confident presence for lone overnight work and decision making under pressure.
• Clear communication skills for residents and team members.
• Responsible, dependable and highly observant with attention to detail.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with residents.
• Current first aid certificate (preferable) and full driver’s license.

Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Village Assistant to join ourMilldaleVillage. You will ensure the safety and security of the village and be ready to respond to any medical or emergency incidents that may arise.

You will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all Village related matters whilst on duty and more importantly providing a visible, reassuring presence, and ensuring our residents feel safe and supported..

Your day-to-day will include:

• Providing a calm, professional first response to medical emergencies
• Cleaning duties (maintaining cleanliness of facilities)
• Liaising with emergency services when needed
• Monitoring village security and respond to any unusual activity
• Maintaining clear communication with the Village Manager

This is a casual role, working on as and when needed basis.

Qualifications

You’ll be someone who brings a calm, confident presence to the role—comfortable working alone overnight, capable of thinking on your feet, and able to make sound decisions under pressure without hesitation.

You’ll also bring:

• Confident working independently and making quick, effective decisions when needed
• A strong communicator who remains calm and composed in high-pressure or emergency situations
• Naturally responsible, dependable, and highly observant, with great attention to detail
• Able to build rapport and trust with residents
• Has a current First aid certificate (preferrable)and full drivers license
