Job summary

New Zealand Customs Service is seeking a Training & Development Coordinator (fixed term parental leave cover) to support nationwide training delivery. This role coordinates administration, resources, and event management for core programmes, ensuring facilitators and learners have the necessary support for consistent delivery.

The successful candidate will manage LMS and intranet resources, collaborate with the Capability and Design teams, and apply strong project management to keep milestones

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in HR or Training/L&D teams preferred.
• Strong judgment, initiative and willingness to travel to meet team needs.
• Proficient computer skills and understanding of database concepts.
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong project management to plan work and manage timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administration and logistics of training delivery across the organisation.
• Support Te Ara Ako and Mahia te Mahi programmes and core training.
• Manage resources, intranet content, LMS materials, records and reporting.
• Provide event management for graduations and other training activities.
• Collaborate with Learning, Capability and Design teams to evaluate delivery.
• Apply project management to plan timelines, dependencies and milestones.
