Job summary

New Zealand Customs is seeking a Training & Development Coordinator (12‑month parental leave cover) to organise and support programmes that build frontline capability. You will manage administrative and logistical aspects of delivery across Operations, ensuring facilitators, learners, and programme leads have resources and support for consistent delivery.

The role requires strong communication, planning, and project management skills, with experience in HR or Training/Learning and Development

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Experience in HR or Training/Learning and Development.
• Strong judgment and initiative; willing to travel as needed.
• Proficient computer skills with multiple applications and database concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administration and logistics of training delivery across Operations.
• Provide event management for graduations, ceremonies and formal training activities.
• Oversee development and upkeep of training resources including intranet content, LMS materials, records and reporting.
• Collaborate with Learning, Capability and Design teams to evaluate training delivery.
• Apply project management to plan timelines, dependencies and milestones.
