Job summary

PlaceMakers Kerikeri is seeking a Trade Support Team Member to be the heartbeat of the branch, handling inquiries, offering product advice, preparing quotes, and coordinating with Account Managers and suppliers to ensure smooth trade operations.

You will engage customers face-to-face, over the phone, and by email; manage orders and documentation; track deliveries; and contribute to a culture that nails the basics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in trade support, sales coordination, customer service, or internal sales.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Highly organised with sharp attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Recommend suitable products, process orders, and manage sales documentation.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to track orders and arrange timely deliveries.
• Take clear briefs from stakeholders and prepare accurate quote documentation.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Team Leaders to capture opportunities through daily and weekly planning.

Description

As a Trade Support Team Member, you’ll be the heartbeat of the branch providing essential support and clear communication across our trade operations. You’ll work closely with Account Managers, and suppliers to ensure a seamless experience and help to build a team culture that nails the basics. With a flexible, can-do attitude, you’ll manage customer inquiries, offer product advice, prepare quotes and pricing, and find solutions to meet customer needs.

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to track orders and arrange timely deliveries
• Take clear briefs from stakeholders and prepare accurate quote documentation
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Team Leaders to capture opportunities through daily and weekly planning

Permanent full-time role based at PlaceMakers Kerikeri, offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will be more than just a sales support person, you’ll be a natural communicator and relationship builder who understands the needs of our customers. Your experience in the building or construction industry, combined with strong knowledge of building materials and products, means you know how to connect with builders, can identify opportunities, and act as a trusted advisor to deliver tailored solutions and assistance that make a real impact
