Job summary

PlaceMakers in Whangārei is seeking a Trade Support Team Member for a fixed-term contract. You will support trade operations, engage with customers and suppliers, and help ensure timely deliveries while building a collaborative branch culture.

In this role you’ll advise on products, prepare quotes, coordinate orders, and partner with Account Managers to seize opportunities through daily planning. Experience in building materials is advantageous.

Description

As a Trade Support Team Member in this Fixed Term Contract, you’ll be the heartbeat of the branch providing essential support and clear communication across our trade operations. You’ll work closely with Account Managers, and suppliers to ensure a seamless experience and help to build a team culture that nails the basics. With a flexible, can-do attitude, you’ll manage customer inquiries, offer product advice, prepare quotes and pricing, and find solutions to meet customer needs.

This is a Fixed Term contract until end of based at PlaceMakers Whangarei offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday! About You: To succeed in this role, you will be more than just a sales support person, you’ll be a natural communicator and relationship builder who understands the needs of our customers. Your experience in the building or construction industry, combined with strong knowledge of building materials and products, means you know how to connect with builders, can identify opportunities, and act as a trusted advisor to deliver tailored solutions and assistance that make a real impact

• Proven experience in trade support, sales coordination, customer service, or internal sales

• Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems
• Knowledge of building products & materials and/or a solid understanding of construction processes is advantageous
