Job summary

Plumbing World in Rotorua is seeking a proactive Trade Sales/Driver to join our team. You will mainly work at the trade sales counter, process orders, provide product advice, and support local deliveries and warehouse operations as needed.

This role suits someone with retail, trade sales, or customer service experience and a willingness to grow within a long-standing Kiwi business. A full NZ driver's licence is required, forklift licence advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and sales focus skills.
• Previous trade, retail, merchant, or customer-facing experience preferred.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn our brand and products.
• Reliable, motivated, and a great team player.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to undertake some heavy lifting (up to 20kg).
• A full, clean Class 1 New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
• Pride in your personal presentation and professionalism.

About The Role

Our Rotorua branch is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Trade Sales/Driver to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll spend most of your time serving customers at the trade sales counter, processing orders, providing product advice, and helping customers get what they need to keep their projects moving. From time to time, you'll also assist with local deliveries, warehouse duties, and branch operations, making every day a little different.

This role would suit someone with experience in retail, trade sales, customer service, plumbing, building supplies, or the wider trade industry. If you're looking to move off the tools but still want to stay connected to the trade sector, we'd love to hear from you!

This is a permanent full-time position working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with rostered Saturdays.
