Job summary

Plumbing World’s Queenstown branch seeks a reliable, customer-focused Driver to join our team. You will deliver products, build strong relationships with customers, and support stock and branch operations.

Requires a full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence, fitness for heavy lifting, and a proactive, energetic attitude to deliver excellent service in a busy branch environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a hands-on team player and able to load the truck.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Physically fit with ability to perform some heavy lifting (up to 20 kgs).
• Full, clean Class 1 New Zealand drivers’ licence.
• Pride in personal appearance with great interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inwards goods: picking/packing, stock replenishment and cycle counts.

About The Role

Our Queenstown Branch in the heart of the beautiful Central Otago region is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Driver to join our friendly and supportive team.

If you enjoy being out on the road, staying active throughout the day, and building great relationships with customers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You'll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the branch.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Delivering products to customer sites and providing outstanding customer service.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
• Assisting with inwards goods, including picking and packing orders, replenishing stock, and cycle counting.
• Supporting the wider branch team with general operational tasks as required.

This role is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Specific start and finish times will be discussed during the interview stage.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need

• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• knowledgeable of the Queenstown/Central Otago area/region.
• Good sales & customer service skills.
• Reliable with a great attitude.
• Excellent time management.
• Work well under pressure while displaying good sound logic.
• Customer Focus is a must (mainly trade related but not not advantageous)
• Physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting (up to 20kgs)
• A full, clean Class 1 New Zealand drivers' licence.
• Pride in personal appearance with great interpersonal skills.
