Job summary

PlaceMakers Christchurch in Auckland is seeking an Account Manager to own an established portfolio of trade customers, including members of the Fijian Indian community, while pursuing new opportunities in this growing market.

You will travel to sites, engage with builders and trade customers, and build lasting relationships across the trade network. The role emphasizes a partnering mindset—helping customers grow so we grow together, not just selling.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development.
• Fluency in both Fiji Hindi and English.
• Self-motivation and a proactive approach with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and construction processes.
• Full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence is a must.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales process from lead generation to close, turning conversations into customers.
• Visit sites and engage with existing and prospective trade customers, building strong relationships.
• Partner with customers to identify growth opportunities and deliver tailored building solutions.
• Travel regularly to support trade customers across Auckland and wider region.
