Job summary

Hato Hone St John is seeking a Telecare Field Representative to support our medical alarm customers across Tairawhiti, Wairoa and surrounding areas. The role focuses on installation, demonstrations and excellent customer care to help people stay independent.

This permanent, part-time position offers 16 hours across two days each week with weekend on-call allowances; no prior alarm experience required as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong empathy and personal resilience.
• Good technical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to change.
• Excellent time management and organisation skills.
• A full New Zealand driver licence with confidence driving on open and rural roads.

Responsibilities

• Building positive, trusting relationships with those who rely on our medical alarms.
• Demonstrating and installing our monitored alarm systems, ensuring customers feel confident using them.
• Providing top-notch customer care, including servicing and troubleshooting alarm equipment.
• Promoting our services at community events and group demonstrations.
• Responding promptly to emergency alerts and coordinate appropriate assistance.
