Job summary

Smith&Smith Napier is seeking an Autoglass Technician to repair, replace and recalibrate vehicle glass, delivering quality workmanship and outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, hands-on role.

You will receive full training toward a NZQA National Certificate in Automotive Reglazing (Level 3), access to industry-leading tools, wellness benefits, paid overseas assignments, and clear pathways for career development within Belron New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Experience in autoglass is not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Clean driver’s license required.
• Must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Location: Smith&Smith Napier Hours: 30 hours, rostered across Monday - Sunday

What we’re looking for

• Motivated people with a passion for hands‑on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
• A passion for exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value‑added products and services.
• Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
• A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
• You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening test.
