Job summary

Belron New Zealand (Smith&Smith, Laser, Exceed) is seeking an Autoglass Technician for a fixed-term role at Smith&Smith Westgate. In this hands-on position, you will repair, replace and recalibrate vehicle glass using cutting-edge tools, delivering top-quality workmanship and professional customer service.

You'll interact with customers, offer expert advice and value-added products, and work within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is required; comprehensive training provided.
• Must have a clean driver’s license and unrestricted NZ work rights.
• Ability to lift up to 25kg and work on a roster across Monday to Sunday.
• Positive customer-service attitude and English communication skills.

Location: Smith&Smith Westgate

Hours: 30 hours, rostered across Monday - Sunday

Fixed term: October 2026 - April 2027

What we’re looking for

• Motivated people with a passion for hands‑on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
• A passion for exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value‑added products and services.
• Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
• A clean driver’s licence (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
• You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening test.
