Job summary

Belron New Zealand is seeking an Autoglass Technician for our Blenheim operation. In this hands-on role, you will repair, replace, and recalibrate vehicle glass using advanced tools, while delivering excellent customer service.

You will be the face of our service, advising customers and upselling value-added products in a supportive team environment. Location is Blenheim with 30 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience required; training provided.
• Passion for hands-on work and customer service.
• Must have a clean driver’s license and unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace vehicle glass, and recalibrate as needed with modern tools.
• Provide expert advice to customers and upsell value-added products/services.
• Be the face of the service, delivering top-quality workmanship and great customer experience.
• Participate in ongoing training leading to a National Certificate in Automotive Reglazing (Level 3) NZQF.

Location: Smith&Smith Blenheim Hours: 30 hours, rostered across Monday - Sunday

What we’re looking for

• Motivated people with a passion for hands-on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
• A passion for exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value-added products and services.
• Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
• A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
• You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
