Job summary

Belron NZ Ltd is seeking an Autoglass Technician for Smith&Smith Dunedin. This hands-on role involves repairing, replacing, and recalibrating vehicle glass with modern tools, while delivering exceptional customer service.

You'll receive full training towards a National Certificate in Automotive Reglazing (Level 3) NZQF and opportunities for paid short-term overseas assignments. Rostered 30 hours across Mon–Sun in Dunedin, with career development and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Motivated people with a passion for hands-on work and a keen eye for detail.
  • No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
  • A passion for exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value-added products and services.
  • Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
  • A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
  • You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.

In this hands-on role, you will repair, replace, and recalibrate vehicle glass using cutting-edge tools and technology—delivering top-quality workmanship every time. You’ll also be the face of our service, working directly with customers to provide expert advice, offer value-added products, and ensure every interaction is a great one.
