Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

LogTag designs and manufactures the world’s most trusted cold chain solutions. Our WHO approved data loggers act as the global safeguard for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, ensuring the safe transit and storage of critical life-saving vaccines worldwide. We operate at scale, shipping over 600,000 units annually across 70+ countries.

About the role

Our engineering powerhouse is a lean, agile team of cross-disciplinary experts. We operate with massive global impact but zero corporate bureaucracy. To help navigate our rapid R&D scaling, we are looking for a practical, results-oriented Technical Program Manager to serve as our operational backbone.

In this high-impact role, you will bridge technical execution, compliance, customer voice, and supply chain readiness. You will own project budgets, tracking, regulatory compliance, stakeholder communication and vendor coordination entirely.

Key responsibilities
  • Maintain absolute ownership of project milestones, actions, deadlines, and dependencies to hit key delivery targets.
  • Drive immediate cross-team communication when an engineering issue holds up a project or production, keeping manufacturing and sales team fully synced on timelines.
  • Formally track, analyze, and report on key team and project KPIs to provide clear visibility for Board of Directors updates.
  • Maintain shared tracking tools (Jira/Smartsheet), drive cross-team standups, protect engineering WIP limits, and clear daily bottlenecks.
  • Integrate compliance milestones (ISO/CE/FCC/Safety) into development loops, own technical file assembly, and facilitate Design Reviews and FMEA risk analyses.
  • Be the Voice of the Customer and help translate customer needs, field feedback, and usability data into actionable engineering requirements and functional specs.
  • Assist delivery by performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) during critical crunch periods or final validation stages to ensure customer deployment trials run smoothly.
  • Maintain a tracker for engineering issues that affect production, focusing heavily on the impact and timing for customer orders to keep the sales team informed.
About you
  • 4+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Engineering Project Manager, or Operations Engineer in a physical product / hardware development environment (embedded systems, medical devices, IoT, industrial equipment, or robotics).
  • Outstanding capability to translate engineering complexities into clear business, board-level, and order impacts for sales and operations teams.
  • You're someone who is naturally result-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives on achievement and doesn't hesitate to execute tasks yourself rather than managing through spreadsheets alone.
  • Familiarity with the full new product introduction lifecycle as well as compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, , CE, FCC, or IEC safety standards).
  • Hands‑on expertise with modern project tracking and document systems (Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, Gantt charting tools).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems), Computer Science, or equivalent practical technical background.
