Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Hawkes Bay team, reporting to the Construction Manager. You will lead a construction-focused portfolio, guiding a capable team and ensuring project delivery aligns with targets and safety standards.

Responsibilities include directing reports, enforcing Zero Harm policies, coordinating resources, refining processes, and supporting procurement strategy development to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Project and/or Contract Management experience in Civil Engineering.
• A tertiary qualification is beneficial but not necessary.
• Strong relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Construction Manager your day to day will include the following:

• Providing leadership and management to your direct reports to achieve targets
• Promoting a Zero Harm environment, ensuring H & S policies and procedures are followed
• Overseeing the allocation of people, plant, technology and resources to achieve outcomes
• Develop and improve systems and processes
• Assist in development and implementation of procurement strategies
• Project and/or Contract Management experience in Civil Engineering
• Strategic thinking and an ability to problem solve and implement initiatives
• A proven track record developing a culture that supports business excellence
• High levels of emotional intelligence and the ability to get the best out of your team
• Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Relevant tertiary qualification is beneficial but not necessary
