Job summary

Turbo Staff is recruiting on behalf of an award-winning civil contractor in Hamilton for an experienced Project Engineer to lead planning, scheduling and compliance on large-scale infrastructure projects.

You will develop schedules, coordinate resources, manage budgets and oversee site teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are met while delivering sticking to plans.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience as a Project Engineer within 3 waters.
  • Proven experience in meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Skilled in site layout, utility design, grading, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong commercial acumen in budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in project delivery, including surveying and permits.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, co-ordinate and delegate tasks for the safe, efficient delivery of the project
  • Oversee internal crews and subcontractors ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Maintain daily site records.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety and quality regulations.
  • Ensure all projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality and safety standards.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their Hamilton Team.

The Role

With a strong focus on planning, scheduling, and compliance, you will be a key contributor to the success of large-scale projects.
