Job summary

Auckland-based civil contractor seeks an experienced Project Engineer to join the team, focusing on planning, scheduling, and compliance for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role involves coordinating resources, overseeing crews and subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality across multiple sites.

Key requirements include 3+ years in a Project Engineer role within 3 waters, strong budgeting and forecasting skills, and the ability to read drawings and inspections plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience as a Project Engineer within 3 waters.
  • Proven experience in meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Skilled in site layout, utility design, grading, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong commercial acumen in budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in project delivery, including surveying and permits
  • Able to read drawings, plans, and Inspection Test Plans
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality work.

  • Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources, materials, and labour.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and delegate tasks for the safe, efficient delivery of the project
  • Oversee internal crews and subcontractors ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Maintain daily site records
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety and quality regulations.
  • Ensure all projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality and safety standards.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their Auckland Team.

The Role

With a strong focus on planning, scheduling, and compliance, you will be a key contributor to the success of large-scale projects.

Responsibilities
