NZ Post is seeking a Technical Facilities Manager to lead specialist technical operations across a nationwide property portfolio based in Wellington CBD. You will drive maintenance programs, asset performance and compliance outcomes in a complex real estate environment.

You will partner with contractors and stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable facilities and contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives while managing commissioning, budgeting and lifecycle planning.

Qualifications

  • You’ll have at least 5 years’ experience in facilities management, building services engineering or property operations.
  • You’ll possess strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, fire, security and BMS infrastructure.
  • You’ll have experience managing maintenance contractors and service providers.
  • You’ll have a sound understanding of New Zealand building compliance requirements.
  • You’ll bring strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Managing building maintenance programmes and critical infrastructure performance.
  • Leading technical investigations, fault finding and asset improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with NZ legislation, standards and BWOF requirements.
  • Supporting asset lifecycle planning, capital renewal programmes and budgeting.
  • Managing contractor performance, service delivery and safety outcomes.
  • Contributing to sustainability, energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Facilities Manager * Wellington CBD based role. * Join our facilities management team. As our new Technical Facilities Manager, you'll use your technical expertise to ensure our nationwide property portfolio remains safe, compliant, reliable and fit for the future.

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role

Reporting to the National Facilities & Asset Manager, you'll provide specialist technical leadership across commercial, retail and industrial properties throughout New Zealand. You'll partner with contractors, service providers and stakeholders to drive operational excellence, asset performance and compliance outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing building maintenance programmes and critical infrastructure performance
  • Leading technical investigations, fault finding and asset improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant NZ legislation, standards and BWOF requirements
