Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Technical Facilities Manager to provide technical leadership across our nationwide portfolio. You will partner with contractors and stakeholders to drive asset performance, safety and compliance across commercial, retail and industrial sites.

You will lead maintenance programmes, investigations and lifecycle planning, ensuring facilities operate reliably and sustainably. The role requires hands-on building systems experience and strong stakeholder management across

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years' experience in facilities management, building services engineering or property operations.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, fire, security and BMS infrastructure.
  • Experience managing maintenance contractors and service providers.
  • Sound understanding of New Zealand building compliance requirements.
  • Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage building maintenance programmes and critical infrastructure performance.
  • Lead technical investigations, fault finding and asset improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with NZ legislation, standards and BWOF requirements.
  • Support asset lifecycle planning, capital renewal programmes and budgeting.
  • Manage contractor performance, service delivery and safety outcomes.
  • Contribute to sustainability, energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
