Job summary

New Zealand Post in Wellington is seeking a Facilities Management Contract Manager to lead national facilities service contracts. You’ll manage hard and soft services, monitor performance, and drive procurement to deliver value-for-money and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong commercial capability with extensive facilities management and contract management experience, plus stakeholder engagement across a dispersed portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities management, contract mgmt, or procurement.
• Experience managing outsourced service providers and facilities contracts.
• Strong knowledge of hard and soft facilities services.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience leading procurement and tender processes.
• Analytical, financial and performance management capability.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of facilities service contracts and supplier relationships.
• Monitor contractor performance against service levels and KPIs.
• Lead contract reviews, renewals, negotiations and performance discussions.
• Drive procurement activities, including RFx processes and supplier selection.
• Optimise contract performance and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, building, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Develop contractor scorecards, performance reporting and governance frameworks.
• Manage facilities-related budgets and monitor expenditure against targets.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business.
• Promote innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.
