Job summary

Bank of New Zealand is seeking an experienced technology procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing and contract negotiations for complex technology goods and services. You will engage senior technology stakeholders, run RFx processes, and draft and negotiate sophisticated supplier agreements in a regulated environment.

The role supports two days of remote work per week and can be based in Auckland or Wellington, offering flexibility within a dynamic BNZ procurement team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in technology procurement, category management or a similar role.
• Direct experience negotiating high-value third-party contracts in a complex, regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial services procurement and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology market engagements, including RFx, for software, applications, maintenance, cyber, infrastructure, mainframes and core systems.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex supplier contracts, statements of work, schedules and commercial terms.
• Develop, implement and manage category strategies for key technology areas.
