Job summary

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is seeking a Technical Business Analyst in Auckland for a 2-year fixed-term, full-time role. You’ll support high-profile regulatory delivery across the lending data space, uncovering requirements and dependencies, and enabling clear decisions for confident delivery.

The role is hybrid with three days in the office and two days flexible, working with cross-functional teams across business, data and technology to deliver trusted data outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years’ business analysis experience, ideally across digital, process or platform change.
• Strong visual and structured modelling skills, with the ability to communicate complexity simply.
• Experience shaping backlogs and partnering with technology delivery teams.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence to manage user stories, requirements, delivery artefacts and backlogs within an Agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Uncovering requirements, blockers, dependencies and decision points.
• Analysing lending data, business rules, controls and reporting requirements to support regulatory delivery outcomes.
• Translating complex business and data analysis into clear actions that delivery teams can execute against.
• Supporting impact assessment, traceability, reconciliation and readiness activities to give confidence in regulatory data outputs.
• Working across business, data, technology and delivery teams to align stakeholders, clarify scope and keep critical deliverables moving.
