New Zealand Government Joba in Gisborne or Napier is seeking an organised administrator to support Nga Whenua Rahui and kaimahi, with flexible ways of working and a full-time permanent role.

You will manage diary, emails, travel, events, and reporting, build stakeholder relationships, and help with budgets and fleet, using Microsoft Office; te reo Māori desirable.

Qualifications

  • Proven aptitude in an administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge/understanding of Government is helpful but not essential.
  • Current full New Zealand driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain team systems and processes.
  • Provide administrative support including diary and email management.
  • Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Prepare presentations, task assignments, reports and briefings.
  • Support taskforces, including taking minutes of meetings.
  • Coordinate fleet management at office sites.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders externally and within DOC.
