Mitre 10 MEGA is seeking a Hardware Department Team Member for our Takanini store. This full-time, permanent role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, expert product advice, and helping customers with their DIY projects.

You will drive sales, maintain stock levels, and keep the department safe, organized, and well presented. Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for hardware and DIY, a strong customer service mindset, and the ability to work Tuesday to Saturday in a busy retail

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time, permanent Hardware Department Team Member to join our friendly team. In this customer-focused role, you'll provide expert advice, assist customers with their projects, drive sales, maintain stock levels, and help keep the department safe, organised, and well presented.

What we're looking for

We're seeking a retail professional with a strong customer focus, a great work ethic, and the ability to confidently assist customers with hardware products and practical project solutions. Ideally, you'll bring:

• A genuine passion for customer service and sales
• A positive, can-do attitude and team-focused mindset
• An interest in hardware, DIY, and home improvement products
• Confidence using computers and learning new systems
• Strong attention to detail and flexibility
• Physical capability for manual handling, prolonged standing, and ladder use
• Awareness of Health & Safety requirements and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
