Job summary

Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking a Referral and Booking Lead for the Taranaki Base Hospital. This permanent full-time role focuses on operational management of the Booking Office, team leadership, and accurate scheduling for clinic and theatre activities.

You will work closely with Consultants and Registrars, ensuring proficient use of Hospital Administration screens and related patient administration processes.

Qualifications

• Desirable: working knowledge of hospital information systems (WebPAS/IBA, Concerto) and related patient administration processes.
• Experience in health administration is preferred to support booking, scheduling and office management tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational management of the Booking Office.
• Direct management of the Booking Office team.
• Responsible for clinic and theatre scheduling and related meetings.
• Maintain close working relationships with Consultants and Registrars.
• Ensure proficient use of Hospital Administration screens and related systems.
