Job summary

HealthCare NZ is seeking empathetic Support Workers to assist clients across Community & Rehabilitation, Disability and Social Services. Flexible full-time and part-time options are available, with rostered shifts and a strong commitment to community care.

Role involves practical and emotional support to help clients live as independently as possible, following care plans and working within a close-knit, nationwide team. Palmerston North area locations.

Qualifications

We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Workers across our different services including Community & Rehabilitation, Disability and Social Services. Whether you are looking for flexibility around other commitments or would prefer regular rostered shifts, we have a variety of permanent full-time and part-time options on offer.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
