Job summary

Healthvision is recruiting for Support Workers to provide in-home care and community support across Auckland. You will assist with personal cares, meals, mobility assistance, and help people access community activities, enabling independence and dignity.

Ideal candidates will have a NZ driver’s license, ability to drive a mobility van (training available), and flexibility for rotating rosters including weekends.

Qualifications

  • Ideally, prior personal care experience is preferred in resthome and/or in the community.
  • Access to a car and ability to drive independently (a full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)
  • Ability to drive a mobility van (training available)
  • A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided)
  • Flexibility to travel anywhere in Auckland
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.

  • Medication support
Job Location: South, North and West Auckland
Employment Type: Permanent Full time (30+ Hours) or Part Time (Up to 29 Hours)

We offer a range of employment opportunities including casual, part-time, and full-time positions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process.

Days of Work:

As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.

The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support.

You are a calm but confident-natured individual who can demonstrate resilience and understand the challenges of service users. There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling. It is rewarding when you are part of the support that enables a person to live their best lives in the community.

  • Pay Band: $25.22 - $31.40per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 - hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
