Job summary

MASH Trust in Lower Hutt is seeking Summer Support Workers to assist people with daily living, encouraging participation in community activities and helping to maintain a home environment. You will work across several homes with shifts that may vary week to week, with schedules provided in advance.

These fixed-term roles run from November 2026 to February 2027 and require availability on weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Patience, empathy, and a person-centred approach to support needs.
• Ability to carry out personal cares (showering, dressing) as required.
• Full NZ Driver Licence required to drive the MASH van.

The Positions: As a Support Worker, you will be supporting others to maintain a high quality of life and home environment, while encouraging full participation within their community. A Summer pool staff member works across a variety of homes and shifts that we have available due to annual leave and training. This position means your shift pattern may change from week to week however you are provided your schedule in advance.

These full-time or part-time positions are fixed term from November 2026 until February 2027. Start and finish dates negotiable.

You must be available to work all shifts, weekdays and weekends.
