Job summary

MASH Trust in Lower Hutt is seeking Summer Support Workers to assist people with daily living, encouraging participation in community activities and helping to maintain a home environment. You will work across several homes with shifts that may vary week to week, with schedules provided in advance.

These fixed-term roles run from November 2026 to February 2027 and require availability on weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Patience, empathy, and a person-centred approach to support needs.
• Ability to carry out personal cares (showering, dressing) as required.
• Full NZ Driver Licence required to drive the MASH van.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to maintain a high quality of life and home environment.
• Work across multiple homes and shifts with advance scheduling.
• Be available to work all shifts, weekdays and weekends.
