Job summary

IDEA Services is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Rotorua for a fixed-term full-time position through Jan 2027. You will help adults with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives at home and in the community, bringing enthusiasm, empathy, and a person-centered approach.

This role requires flexibility to work weekends and sleepovers, and a calm, caring attitude to handle challenging behaviours while using computers and tablets daily.

Qualifications

• Preferably previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults.
• A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts.
• Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
• Full NZ’s driver’s license.
