The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for its Supportive Accommodation Program in Wellington. You will assist residents with daily living to maximize participation and independence, aligning with Enabling Good Lives principles.

Responsibilities include food preparation, quality improvement, medication support, and maintaining a clean work area while supporting residents and colleagues. The role is a 20-hour flexible contract with a starting hourly rate between NZD 29.90 and

To support adults with intellectual disabilities to maximize their independence and participation in everyday life.

About the Role:

To assist and encourage residents in their daily living, at required performance standards, with a focus on maximizing each resident's participation and independence in alignment with the Enabling Good Lives Principles

What will your responsibilities be but not limited to:

• Clean and Tidy Work Area

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have or be willing to obtain relevant industry qualification/s
• Hold a Full Class 1 Drivers License
• A Clean Criminal History
• At least 3 or more years’ experience in the industry
• Have a sense of humour

The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $29.90 and $30.97
