Job summary

The Salvation Army – Newtown, North Island is seeking a Casual Support Worker for the Supportive Accommodation Program. The role focuses on assisting adults with intellectual disabilities to maximize independence, including daily living activities, meals, and medication support in alignment with Enabling Good Lives principles.

Responsibilities include food preparation, quality improvement, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting our people.

Qualifications

• Have or be willing to obtain relevant industry qualification/s.
• Hold a Full Class 1 Drivers License.
• A Clean Criminal History.
• At least 3 or more years’ experience in the industry.
• Have a sense of humour.

About the Role:

To assist and encourage residents in their daily living, at required performance standards, with a focus on maximizing each resident's participation and independence in alignment with the Enabling Good Lives Principles.

Our ideal candidate will:
